Comments: It's been a long time and some details are dim but I had a great tour with 1/3/3 and some terrific memories. I always said that if I had to go get shot at these were the guys I wanted to be with. I don't remeber whether I was attached to 1st or 3rd platoon but our Platoon CO was Lt John Tittsworth (for awhile). Other Corpsmen in the unit were D.D.Gary, Ken Neely, Bill Harrison, Loukes, "Buck" Buchanan, Billy Corps, Bill Corr, "Pappy" King, David Frady, Dave Martins, Smitty Smith (previously a USMC Cpl)and a host of others. Our Battalion Surgeons were Drs. Pat Hanley and Budreaux. WE were based out of Schwab but spent most of our time on and off the Valley Forge(LPH8). I wish I could remember the names of the marines in the unit but I need memmory jogger for that. Great to find this site. You can be sure that I'll check in frequently. It will be good to hear from some of you. I was Navy but I always identify with 1/3/3 -- it was special!

Comments: For some reason my old e-mail address keeps popping up. New e-mail is corps03@charter.net I was fortunate to have served as a grunt with two of the best fighting units in Nam--'B' 1/3 and 'M' 3/27, (no doubt every grunt thinks theirs was the best.) As an old man, I now think of my compadres from '68 as remarkable men. What an honor it was to have served with you brave heroes. I, honestly, think back on you guys and am in awe of your courage. Been a long way, met a lot of folks, but none have compared with those young men of '68. To this day I recognize that while I walked in your footsteps, I could never fill your shoes. Can't say I miss Nam, but will always miss the Marines of '68. God Bless, Swag

Comments: 1-1-1 was attached to Third Marines during my tour (Aug '65 to June '66). I am trying to locate a corpsman who served with (I think) B Co of 1-3 on Hill 41 12-clicks SW of Danang airbase and 2 clicks west of Hill 22, in the period Sept-Dec '65. (If anyone from that unit o that hill wants to get in touch, I have lots of good 35 mm color pix to share.) He was a large black man everyone called Big George. If you think you might know him, I have a clear pix of him so please email me. Many thanks and SF, Bill

Comments: Served aboard LPH-% during the carrier conversion to Helicopter (vertical envelopment, they called it then) platform. Live in Lebanon, TN. now and just interested in re-establishing contact with some of my old Marine buddies. Great web site...very interesting and informative. Semper fi. Denny
