His name is David William Pierce. He had a wife in California whom he married in Mexico. We dont know if he knew about his son ( David William Pierce Jr. my husband ). We know that he was adopted and that he died in nam. before his son was born ( at least we think we know) in March of 1968 and we are pretty sure that he was in the marines. Any kind of help would be greatly appreicated for we are fighting the information battle. We have not been able to find his name on the wall either. Peace be with you, Kathleen

Comments: I was eating dinner a while back with my wife at a buffet and saw an old guy walk past with USMC on his arm. I called to him and he came over and sat down and we talked for about 20 minutes (he was at the Frozen Chosin ) until his wife came looking for him. "I should have known it was another Marine," she said to my wife. "They find each other." And it's true. No one on the outside understands what being a Marine means. I've been out 30 years and still live each day of my life by Marine Corps principles. Every Marine is my brother, and I would still defend that honor to the death. We are the last of the knights in shining armor. We have always done the most under the worst conditions. I hope to God The Corps can survive
